Ed's Violent Relationship with his Guitars
It seems Ed has a love/hate relationship with his instruments, because while he loves all of his guitars, he has been known to "kick the sh*t out of them".
Ed owns 11 guitars and they're all boys - otherwise he would treat them a bit more gently.
Speaking to The Sun, he said:
"The reason they are boy guitars, if you look at them, they are covered in sweat, they are all cracked and bruised and broken, dirty and I literally kick the sh*t out of them every night."
"If I was to call a guitar a girl, that's pretty messed up. Who would you rather beat? A woman or a man?"
He also revealed that he has given all of his guitars a name - and has one called Trevor.
"It started off with really awkward names like Lloyd, but now I name them after my team....My lighting guy was called James and the guitar James broke so now I’ve got James the second, my guitar check is called Trevor."
